ISTAMAX footwear is designed and manufactured with advanced technologies developed to help control overpronation, integrating insights from medical specialists with the expertise of running professionals.
Midsole
Made of dual-density phylon with a firmer section in the medial midfoot area to reduce ankle stress and limit excessive inward foot motion, while providing adequate cushioning and support.
Anti-Torsion
The thermoplastic shank integrated into the midsole is designed to prevent over-twisting of the foot, improving stability and control during movement.
Heel Counter
The back part of the shoe that wraps around the heel features a padded, reinforced material to provide stability and support around the heel and ankle.
Flex Grooves
Positioned along the sole, they enhance the flexibility of the shoe, promoting a more natural and efficient foot motion.
Drop 10 mm
The 10 millimeter height difference between the heel and toe helps relieve stress on the Achilles tendon and lower calf muscles.
Tread
The part of the shoe in direct contact with the ground is made of anti-abrasion material to offer optimized grip and greater durability.
Insole
Removable and designed with built-in arch support for improved comfort.
Upper
Breathable mesh fabric for Spring/Summer season and water-repellent ripstop nylon for Autumn/Winter season. The heat-welded overlays reinforce the shoe’s structure, while also defining the brand’s distinctive aesthetic.
